Prepare for another dangerously-cold night across the Eastern U.S. once again. Temperatures will fall to 0 to -20 degrees and possibly as cold as -30 degrees in the very isolated, coldest spots. This is not factoring in any wind either. A 5-10 mph wind will shave off another 10 degrees to the actual temperatures. Here’s the scope of the cold by Sunday morning.

Sunday morning will be the last taste of the current Arctic blast across the East coast. After Sunday, temperatures will warm up quite significantly (in comparison to recent weather) and may rise above average.

What can you do? Keep exposed skin covered, limit time outdoors, check in on neighbors and friends/family who may be in the area to make sure they are safe. Cold weather shelters may be open, check for local information there. Keep space heaters away from flammable materials inside homes.
