Deadly Tornado Outbreak Unfolds in Southeast

Update: 23 confirmed dead in Lee County. Daylight on Monday has revealed horrible tornado damage in Beauregard, Alabama: On Sunday, tornadoes wreaked havoc across the Southeast. The tornadoes heavily damaged homes, businesses, and power lines. Many injuries and at least 22 fatalities have been reported by officials. The towns of Talbotton, Georgia and Smiths Station, Alabama were hit especially hard. Damaged homes in Talbotton: In total, more than a dozen tornadoes have been reported to the Storm Prediction Center. Damaged businesses in Smiths Station: Today marks the deadliest tornado day since January 22nd, 2017 when 20 fatalities were reported in Mississippi and Georgia. Hundreds of trees, snapped like twigs in Beauregard, Alabama. This event also marks the deadliest tornado since April 27th, 2014 when a tornado struck Vilonia, Arkansas.
