Numerous showers and thunderstorms will bring a threat for flooding rains in a few areas of the nation. In the Upper Midwest, severe thunderstorms may bring flooding issues to parts of Iowa, South Dakota, and Minnesota. Fast moving storms may bring several inches of rain in a short amount of time. On already saturated soils, this could produce flooding. Tropical moisture streaming into the southern Plains will bring areas of heavy rain. Flooding is possible in parts of Oklahoma, Texas, and New Mexico. As much as 6" of rain may occur in parts of Oklahoma and near the Red River of the South.
