A strong cold front has pushed across the Ohio and Tennessee Valleys, funneling well below average temperatures to the region. Freeze Warnings have been issued from Missouri to Georgia. Many of the same areas that experience severe weather Tuesday have felt the temperature tumble to 30 degrees colder today. A strong area of high pressure will sit over the region Thursday morning. This will bring in a clear sky, calm wind, and cold temperatures. Readings will drop into the 20s and 30s for lows Thursday morning. The cold conditions may damage or kill vegetation and crops that are sensitive to an early spring freeze if precautions are not taken.
