More record highs fell on Wednesday as triple digit heat continued across the Southwest. Death Valley saw the mercury rise to 127 degrees! More records will likely be broken today (Thursday), as heat alerts extend from Washington to Arizona.   High temperatures will once again push above 110 in the desert areas of Arizona, California and Nevada through Friday. Even the Pacific Northwest and some areas will see readings well into the 90s. A change in the wind pattern will bring some relief from the extreme heat this weekend.
