Scattered lake effect snow bands have been occurring near Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. The squalls have diminished near Buffalo, New York, but continue around Watertown. Winter Weather Advisories remain in effect.

3″ to 6″ of snow has already fallen from near Buffalo to Watertown. Total accumulations may approach a foot east of Lake Ontario. Snowfall will begin to diminish by Friday morning.
