If you have been waiting eagerly for warmer temperatures and spring-like weather, you will be happy with the new 90 day outlook from the Climate Prediction Center. Warmer than average temperatures are predicted over much of the nation, from the East Coast to the Southwest. Below normal temperatures are not expected in the nation, which is quite a change from what many areas of the country has felt over the last month. Wetter than average weather is expected in the Northeast, with below normal precipitation in the Northwest. https://twitter.com/NWSCPC/status/986948762617679873 The Climate Prediction Center states that a La Nina advisory is still in effect, but forecast model trends continue to show that Pacific Ocean water temperatures will return to normal over the 6 weeks. Neutral ocean temperatures are expected into the summer months, with no El Nino or La Nina. Along with the La Nina forecast, current soil moisture conditions and snow coverage was considered. https://twitter.com/NWSCPC/status/986949528866689024 For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
