Severe Storm Chances for the Lower Mississippi Valley on Friday

Increasing severe weather chances are in the forecast for Friday over parts of Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Severe Weather Outlook

Here is the latest severe weather outlook from the Storm Prediction Center for Friday.  A large portion of the lower Mississippi Valley is under a Marginal to Slight risk of severe weather.  Areas in the yellow shading will have a higher chance for severe weather as these are the areas under a Slight Risk. A Slight risk means the threat for large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes throughout your Friday.

Severe Setup

The humidity will be a big factor with Friday's severe storm chances.  The humidity will be high enough to help fuel any showers or storms if they develop.   Stay tuned for more updates on Friday's severe weather forecast.   Meteorologist Patrick Crawford
