By midday, strong to severe thunderstorms began to develop in Texas, Arkansas, and Missouri quickly racing east-northeast. The storms quickly turned strong enough to cause damage.

Several thunderstorms began to rotate, prompting tornado warnings across Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Kentucky.
WeatherNation was able to capture a large tornado on camera in Keiser, Arkansas, where heavy damage occurred.

There was at least one death related to tornadic storms in Keysburg, KY.
