Heavy snow, high wind, whiteout conditions, treacherous travel....the latest blast of wintry weather to push across the United States brought all of these concerns and more.  What developed as a storm in the Pacific Ocean late last week, moved across the country to the Atlantic Ocean by Tuesday.  During the event, blizzard conditions were a common occurrence in the central United States. https://twitter.com/WeatherNation/status/955217885663670276 https://twitter.com/WeatherNation/status/955282706924892160 https://twitter.com/WeatherNation/status/955551601074216960 Millions of Americans in the Mountain West, Great Plains, Upper Midwest and Northeast got quite the dose of winter weather.  Here are a few top snowfall totals from several states throughout the nation.  Many areas accumulated well over one foot of snow! Even parts of northern Michigan and Maine picked up over 6 inches of snow, while areas of New England battled freezing rain.
