5 Jun 2021 10:50 AM
A surge of warmth is on the way to the Eastern U.S. over the next few days as a strong ridge of high pressure aloft moves into the region. This means temperatures will climb well above normal and should stay that way through next week. Temperatures hit new records in several cities in the northeast on Saturday!
Check out how the high temperatures get even warmer into the start of the upcoming weekend. And we are not done there. It could be even hotter for many spots by next week, with record highs possible.
Philadelphia will be in the low 90s by this weekend...the same Philly that has an average high of 79°.
The same goes for Boston, MA next week as highs will be well in the 90s for the start of the week.
Now that conditions are getting warmer, it's a good idea to have a refresher on how to protect yourself during the hotter months.
