A persistent flow of moisture from the Pacific Ocean continues to bring pockets of heavy snow and rain to portions of the Northwest. Well over a foot of snow has fallen in the Cascades already this week with more on the way. With heavy rain expected along the coast, Flood Watches have been issued in Washington. Rain and snow will increase and become more widespread along a warm front, especially across the higher elevations tonight (Friday). A cold front will move into the Northwest this weekend, bringing more rain and snow. Another foot of snow may accumulate in Cascades into next week. 3" to  6" of rain will fall along the coast. The trend will continue through the weekend and into next week with several more rounds of moisture on the way. Check back with WeatherNation on-air and online for updates on the heavy snow potential across the West.
