A storm system will move through the Mid Atlantic today (Tuesday) and bring a chance for severe thunderstorms. There is a slight risk for severe storms from southern New Jersey to northern North Carolina. Strong, damaging wind gusts are the biggest concern along with a low chance for a tornado. In the Arklatex region, there is a marginal severe weather threat. Large hail is possible with storms that develop in the late afternoon and early evening. A sharp cold front will push quickly through the Eastern Seaboard this afternoon and evening.  Isolated severe storms are possible in areas ahead of the cold front and south of a warm front lifting into the Northeast. The system will push out into the Atlantic Ocean after sunset, bringing an end to the severe storm threat. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
