A storm system that has been producing severe weather in the South over the last few days will push eastward for Saturday night. The severe thunderstorm threat will cover areas from North Carolina to Virginia. A weakening low pressure center will move east with a series of fronts. The greatest severe weather potential at first will be large hail, with a few tornadoes possible. Damaging gusts will become more common into the evening as activity shifts eastward. WeatherNation will keep you updated on-air and online for the potential for severe weather this weekend.
