Snow and Ice from the South to the Great Lakes

A messy mix of snow and ice will spread from Texas to the Great Lakes into Wednesday. Winter Storm Warnings continue from San Antonio to Memphis, with watches further east from Louisiana to Alabama. Sleet and freezing rain may accumulate to a quarter inch, with some areas seeing 2" to 4" of snow. Further north, Winter Storm Warnings remain in effect along the Wisconsin shore of Lake Michigan. Lake enhanced snow has brought totals above a foot in the Door Peninsula of Wisconsin, where another 6" may accumulate. Winter Weather Advisories cover more than a dozen states. The storm system will continue to travel to the south and east, spreading snow and ice from the Mississippi Delta to the Ohio Valley.
