Large hail and intensely strong winds made their presence known in the Plains on Sunday. Winds as high as 100 mph were reported Sunday afternoon in Kansas and hail as large as 3" in diameter in the city of Ellis. In addition to this, a tornado emergency was issued for Custer City, Oklahoma. This storm went on to produce a tornado outside of the Oklahoma City Metro. Two EF-2 tornadoes were confirmed in Oklahoma City during storm surveys on Monday.

This video came out of Custer City, OK, where the tornado emergency was issued on Sunday. A pretty terrifying sight with the strong winds ripping through this property, picking up tree limbs and all other sorts of debris.
Newton, KS took a direct from a severe wind storm on Sunday. Our Field Correspondent, Brett Adair, took the compilation of videos below, including some damage from town. A wind gust over 100 mph was registered along I-70 in Salina, KS with widespread wind gusts over 70 mph in the Garden State - that is the equivalent to a CAT1 hurricane.
The severe reports were abundant with most places having to deal with extreme, hurricane-force winds, and giant hail. The red dots indicate where tornado reports came from. A few landspouts were spotted in eastern Colorado but didn't cause any damage.
