A storm system hitting the Northeast is bringing a wet Patriots Day to Boston today. The Boston Red Sox have already cancelled their game at Fenway Park against the Baltimore Orioles. Runners for the Boston Marathon have been met with showers this morning https://twitter.com/RedSox/status/985867895208112128 https://twitter.com/bostonmarathon/status/985882537795792896 Temperatures will be below average with readings in the 40s most of the day. The average high for this time of year in Boston is 55. Due to the rain, many outdoor events have been cancelled or postponed. A low pressure center and warm front moving through the region will keep showers and even a few thunderstorms passing through Boston most of the day. For WeatherNation: Meteorologist Mace Michaels
